A cornerstone of the Boy Scout programs is training. Whether you are brand new parent of a Scout who wants to find out more about Scouting, or you are a seasoned veteran volunteer, there is something for you.

Click on one of the links to left to see training opportunities for Adults or Youth.  The training lists are organized from basic training to advanced leadership training.

There are many opportunities available to youth and adults at various levels to further develop. Some training can be taken online.  Others are available in your local unit, at the District or Council level, or at the National level.

What makes a Trained Leader?

Basic training course requirements for unit leaders

Training Course Report: This is a Council form that trainers should use at training events.

Training Cards: This should be given out to participants after the instructor has filled out the Training Course Report and turned into the Council Office.
